OT 7 HP Kohler engine

I started another thread about needing two new tires on a Troy Bilt Horse model tiller (My Dad's) that has been in a storage shed for about 28 years.

Just an update in case anyone was wondering. I got the two new tires mounted and I got the tiller to fire up and run nicely today.

Not bad for sitting 28 years without running. Only had to replace the fuel shut off valve under the gas tank and Napa had one to fit it. Also replaced the plastic fuel line. Ordered a new air filter element from Amazon. I did put some ATF fluid in the spark plug hole and let it sit for 3 or 4 days before trying to turn it over. Oh yeah, I did put a new spark plug in that hole. The thing really surprised me when it fired up.

Now I have to find someone to buy it. I really have no use for it.

I have my dad old Troy built tiller. He got it new in 1972 and I use it every spring to till up my garden. It only gets run in the spring and ll the rest of the year it sits with a wash tub over the engine. It still has the same tires on it from back in 1972 but has tubes in both of them
