A friend of mine died of Cancer two mo's ago, and his wife ask me to help her get a few lawn machines running for his tools sale.
She had me work on a seized up lawn mower....couldn't get it running....then two motorized, 2 wheel, weed edgers.
Got one running good, and am now working on the other one...runs if primed, but no fuel from the fuel tank, to the carb....plugged with crud, I'm thinkin'!!!
Anyhow, here is what I picked up for $$50.00 total....
A Ferg. two row spring toothed Harrow..(thought it was a three row) I'll live with two rows!!!!.....Nothing missing on it...:

And a rock rake....no tag on it for ID, but all there...:

Almost bid on this Ferg. TO20, but it needs a whole lot more work than I have time and $$.....complete tear down??, engine seized, ETC, ETC. .....Sat for 6-7yrs!!!

OH well....can't knock a gift horse in the mouth!!!!!!!
Back to working on the other edger!!!!

Been a good day!!!!

Nice tin on that Fergy, Gary, An original tool box, and a radiator shroud - those are both usually missing.

Plus, the radius rod looks straight, so the pivot pin/bushing are probably OK.

I've seen lots worse!

What are those rear wheel weights?

Looks like a bargain to me! That ole TO-20 looks to be in
decent shape too. Tires look fair, bunches of wheel weights.
With a stuck engine that's a big gamble though!
Glad you had a good day out your way. We did here as well. :)

Here's a couple before pictures of the left side tires on the last
TO-20 I worked on. It didn't look nearly as good as that one!

Guys....I'm not saying that it would not be workable,....just ain't got the time and resorces at this time...(what with Leslie, needing another operation to get her shoulder fixed)
I've got the itch, but not the where-with-all.

If I did, I'd jump all over that Jube...just to see what I could do with it!!!!!!!
Frustrating!!!!
Bet I could buy that Ferg. for peanuts!!!!

BTW:...It has half a tank of fuel in it, but smells like turpentine, and the sed bowl is full of Brown SNOT!!!

It really wasn't a bad tractor Tom.
A friend of mine brought it to me on a trailer, not running.
I rebuilt the carb, changed the rear tires and the one front one.
Even though the gas tank was far too rusty to be used, I got
it running on a temporary tank and he was pretty happy with it.

He said it hadn't run in about 10 years, but it wasn't set up.
Here's a short video of the first [b:be9f916f90]startup[/b:be9f916f90]. Notice those new rear
rims and tires! (they're not really "new")
This was literally the first time we tried to start it.
I kept trying the throttle in the video.
The linkage was broken under the dash.

"the sed bowl is full of Brown SNOT!!!"

That'll buff right out, nothing to worry about! 8)

Now that you mention it...Had that been a Ford Jube/NAA with an FEL on it......I would have it at my house already!!!!
Only about half a mile from here....zip-zop, I'd of HAD to buy it!!!

GB,

You lucky rascal you!!

reminded me of when I was driving the garbage truck for the island in the late 70's and old Mrs. Bannister asked me to clean out her husband's shop!!

Great rake!
I found another new use for mine. I raise it up, back into a blackberry patch, lower the rake and pull out. It snaps up and beautifully yards out all the dry and super-sharp, beige colored dead blackberry canes at the edges of the patches. The dead ones are a royal pain when picking.

I'm green with envy over that Spring Shank Cultivator.
My Jube might not handle 3 rows. :)

Nice score on the implements. The field cultivator is a very handy tool for the garden, food plots or roughing up to
put in a lawn along with that rock rake to smooth things out.
I used to have one a few years ago. Mine carried both the ferguson and pittsburg tags on them. Sorry I ever sold it.
The only consolation is that I sold it to a friend who will let me barrow it when I need it and if he's going to sell
it I get first shot at it.
The fergie would have be hard to pass up. With a little ATF and a good carb man should have that running in no time.

GB . So did the fergie sell or find a new home? I aint so far from there that I couldnt take a run at it if it was priced right.
