New to the forum and just purchased 47 2N with what looks to be the F&T overdrive transmission. Are these rare because hard to find anything about them? It seems to work alright but I'm curious about the transmission. Any comments would be welcome. Thanks.

They are pretty rare. John Smith mentions them at the bottom
of his auxiliary transmission page and has a couple literature
pages posted. Here's a [b:002770e0bc]link[/b:002770e0bc] to that page.

(quoted from post at 07:57:08 04/24/15) If they are rare does that increase the value of the tractor?

They usually do not increase the price much . Just like new tires they make the tractor easier to sell .

A $400 axillary trans or $800 in rear tires will get you .25 on the dollar around here . Hopefully your luck is better .

An overdrive makes a 9/2N more useful in my opinion. It gives you
two speeds between normal second and nor!may third. Doubt it
increase the value very much. Maybe a couple hu deed.
