Spruced up N with good enough rubber, Hat Rims and a Sickle mower for $1300 . . .
bumper and headlights and 12V.

I guess this is the time for selling.

The top two tractors are within 20 miles.

Actually the N is within 10 miles.

The Cockshutt 30 further down that page for $3500 is a beauty!
I don't think anyone would go so far as to perfect decals, without having gone all the way with the rest of the tractor.
Three Point too.

I think that era Cockshutts are about the best looking tractors ever built.
Great curves, ballistic nose and superb color combo with the Red and Buff.

I agree with the Cockshutt looks. Especially the Black Hawks!

Thanks for the hyperlink.

Jerry,

After countless auctions and videos of all tractors . . . my thoughts exactly; in fact, if it was a year ago and I was still searching for a tractor I would have jumped at this tractor. It is right in Crofton, just a 40 minute ferry ride away; so close I could go over on foot to have a look.

The Cockshutt 20 at this auction ($4700) has the bumper mounted to the axle which positions it very low -- interesting.
I was wondering about that.

My farmer friend Brian's Cockshutt. He loves his biggest field work tractor. He raises beef.

The Cockshutt 30 was the first production tractor built in Canada. The 30 was the first production tractor with a live PTO system.

Obviously you are using a Microsoft OS. I use Mac and I don't think it is that easy in my case. I searched it out a while back and apparently it is more of a complicated process on a Mac so I gave up on it . . . temporarily. :)

I have no trouble pasting hyperlinks in regular email.

But thanks,
T

Ah so.
All I did was paste the url and click the URL button above right
which turned it into a hyperlink. :)

Thanks

It has nothing to do with the OS.

If you are using classic view you can add the link using HTML.

<a href=type your URL here> Type Your Link Text here </a>

If you are using Modern view it is BBCODE.

TypeYourLinkTextHere

Or you can highlight the text and use the URL tool button to do it for you.

TOH,

Right; that's what I did above as a test; i.e., I just pasted the url and clicked the URL button to make it a live link. I had to paste and then "select/highlight" the text before clicking the URL button.

I got suckered by the predictable user forum conflicting opinion or user ignorance rap as to the OS making a difference.
I mean, kind of like the folks who blame some good software for their troubles when it is their unmaintained computer and/or their computering skills that are to blame. A corrupted preference.:)

Machinery Tractor Swap Meet coming up near me.

That little Pony with the mechanical plow for $700 is GONE!
No surprise there. That N won't be there long either.

Thanks,
Terry

Trying to figure out how to use my own link title.

Here is what you would type into the message box to manually enter yourswap meet link using BBCODE. This ONLY works in Modern view :

[code:1:e4e48baffe]
[url=http://buyselltrade.ca/vancouver-island/vintage-machinery-swap-meet-farm-equipment-equipment/classified/399160]Vintage Swap Meet[/url]
[/code:1:e4e48baffe]

It produces this result:

Vintage Swap Meet

TOH,

I thought that's what I did but apparently not.
do I have to use the Code button above?

Here goes nuthin' . . .

[code:1:cedd9c59a4][urlhttp://buyselltrade.ca/vancouver-island/oliver-oc42-farm-equipment-equipment/classified/97234]My Old Oliver[/url][/code:1:cedd9c59a4]

Well that didn't work.
On the first attempt nothing, including my word text, showed up at all.
Hit the back button, selected the url and hit the Code button
which yielded the result you see here.

So . . . still batting zero.

Hmmm . . . I forgot the = at the beginning.

Do not ue the code button. All the CODE wrapper does is prevent the code from being interpreted so that you can see it. Type the text shown in the code snippet directly into the message window. It has to be EXACTLY as shown. Computers are incredibly literal. You put an extra closing ] before the = sign which boogered up the code. All it takes is ONE misstyped character to make it fail.

TOH

I didn't ADD that "extra closing" it just happens after pasting the url (so I don't have to type it of course) and clicking the URL button. So I added the = before http.

I should have REMOVED that closing though before inserting the = character. :)

I've worked on computers for years, run adds in our local paper for Mac troubleshooting all the way through the early OS's and don't do much now cause 10 is so stable. . . . so I definitely know that one character is all it takes.

But a guy sure can't know everything. :) [/url]

Oh, and thanks much for the stellar help.

The format message dialogue window has a BBCODE help button in the bottom left corner. Clicking on it will get you a description of the function and syntax of the BBCODE tags.

Thanks, I'll have a look.

I realize that I don't have to use the URL button after pasting the web address but I find it quicker than typing . By the way, the N for sale has...lassified-ad/Vintage-tractor_24918438]BargaiN
