This weekend I tried to star my tractor but no success. I hear the starter spins and that is it. Bought new battery still have the same issue. What’s next the starter. Please help--thanks

Are you saying the starter spins but the motor does not? If so you probably have a bad starter drive (sometimes called a bendix). Could also be a loose or bad ring gear. Try rocking the tractor while it is in 4th gear to see if you can move the flywheel to a diffenet tooth on the ring gear.

Hello HCooke, thank you for the hints. Yes, the starter spins but motor the does not. How hard to replace the starter drive? How can I tell if it’s the ring gear or the starter drive?
Thank you

After removing the starter you can see both gears and see how worn they are. Most starter repair shops stock the drives for them. They are very sensitive to dust / dirt, and sometimes people oil them and then they get dirty. They should be lubricated only with a dry lube such as graphite. I have never lubed any of mine. If upon removal you see that it is dirty you have found the problem.
