I used it to dig a 500 ft drainage trench along the side of the road. Made about 4 passes took about 1/2hr. Worked great. Just wished it would have pushed more dirt up and out of the trench.

Going to try and see if I can weld up some wings on the furrower
to guide the dirt out better.
Cant stand not re-engineering something that was meant to do something else.

Got one just like that. Works good for trenching in cables.
The 960 was overkill, but it was free at the moment! LOL

Royse bet they are made in the same place. Very heavy gauged steel. Cant see the frame bending that easily.

Been wanting to run a cable from the house to the back pole barn. About a 700 foot run. May not have an excuse to not doing it any more.

"Just wished it would have pushed more dirt up and out of the trench"

Go faster! Works great until you hit a rock or root.

I have a couple of middlebusters, both 3pt and 1pt I use for planting and harvesting potatoes but if I was going to run
a cable I would use my dearborn sub soiler and strap the cable on to the back of it. They even made a bullet style
piece of cast steel that followed it to hook the cable on. I seen one years ago while cleaning out a barn but the guy
won't sell it. If running a cable I would suggest taking that big plow off and change it out for a subsoiler point.
It's only two bolt and the point can be flipped over when dull. The points should be EZ to find online. Just make sure
you get the right bolt spacing. I would run the trench once to check for rocks then hook the cable on and run the same
trench again. If you go with the big plow you will probably need a shovel or something else to cover the dirt back in.
With the subsoiler point you may be able to walk the line and push most of the dirt back in with your foot.

If you take is slow, hook thew rock and work the 3pt up and down the back up and hook the rock in a different spot work the 3pt and gas at the same time (foot throttle help) and wiggle it loose, Might get a couple of dozzies out.
