If it works like it should it is well worth that and then some. But if you do not have a loader and the plain is to put it on say an 8N you will not be able to drive any place unless you add weight to the front some how. I have a late 1950 8N with back hoe and loader and it still has to have extra weights or you can not drive it any place due the front end coming up off the ground

I amgoing to put it on my to-20 that has a loader. Picking up the hoe Friday! He's throwing in a tractor jack, a pulley and a slip scoop (scoop is rough... I think he just wants it gone lol) going to load it all on the trailer he's got for sale and call it a grand... I never get good deals so maybe I should buy a lottery ticket on the ride home lol

Here is what my 1950 8N with back hoe and loader look like. Scout brand back hoe

Old...what is that 1000# block of see...ment!

Been holding out hooking up my sherman backhoe cause I don't want to hook up the front loader.
I need to do some backhoe work but dont want to hook up the loader just for the weight.

That block is around 500lbs and has a loop on the top for unloading when one want to. Even with the loader on I have to have that block on or the moment you let up on the clutch the front wheels are off the ground and the back hoe is dragging

The one I have is 14.5 X14.5 inches and is at the longest end 32 inch and the shortest 24. The bottom end tappers to hold it in the the frame

I have an Arps 80 for my 8n and weight wise that is all it can handle without ballast. I can drive it on my trailer but the front end is flying as I transition off the dove tail. My lift is not in good enough shape to lift the hoe although it clears the ground by about 4-6 inches, the top link carries just about all the weight. My manual says to not move tractor by pushing/lifting with the hoe's boom. It weighs around 700 lbs IIRC. I don't see the tank reservoir in the pix, maybe that model has it hidden somewhere. I enjoy mine for what it can do and it certainly beats operating the digger type with the wooden handle sticking out. Mine uses 40 wt hd engine oil for fluid or 10-40 in cold climes.

That is a very good deal, especially with the pump. I bet that a new pump would set you back $800.00
