Beautiful day for an auction here in mid MI! Mid 60's and sunny.
Everything in this auction was stored indoors and was in good shape.
Anyway, this 2n (billed as a 9N) with a Ferguson L-UO-20
loader, Sherman (I'm guessing step-up) non-running, nearly
bald rears but nearly new fronts brought $750. Thanks for ID'ing
the loader for me guys. Once I got there the tag was still on it
and you were spot on!
This John Deere B brought $725, not running.
Story is that the engine was completely rebuilt and they could never get it to start afterwards.
This '77 Lincoln with less than 45K miles ran great! It started right
up and sat and idled smoothly. It brought $1700 to a pre-bidder
who had submitted a max bid of $2500.
This was the item I actually wanted. The auctioneer and staff
didn't know what it was and started the bid at $5 on a "rack".
The shock on there faces was obvious when the price went
North of $100. I paid more than I wanted to, but it's mine.
Not pictured, Ferguson rigid tine cultivator in rough but fixable
shape, needed all new shoes brought $160. Ford 701 back blade,
solid but slightly bent under on the cutter bar went for $160.
Dearborn 2x14 with coulters but no jointers in good shape sold
for $210. Same guy bought all the implements. One bid above
where I quit.
OT - Anyone know what this vine is? It was growing around a
light pole going to the barns/sheds.
