For Royse and GB in MT...

From a Craigslist ad in my area. The ad doesn't say, but I think it's an 8N. (What do I know; aren't all old Ford tractors "8Ns", anyway? )

The ad says seller put on a "new carb" last year - sure looks new!
The Shop Towel Air Filter System is so much simpler that that messy oil bath. Rubber fuel line, plastic fuel filter and hose clamps complete the ensemble.
I'll let you guys know when I pick it up, then I'll be visiting the "N" board for advice.

overnor arms & throttle linkage appear to be 9N/2N, not 8N

Rear axles also point to 9N/2N. Will likely be 3 speed + reverse transmission which is also 9N/2N.

Thanks, JMOR. I'm not in the market, but if anyone is interested, I can post a link to the ad. I can even run up the road to look at it.

Yeah, even if it were an 860, some folks would call it an 8N.
Nature of the beast I guess.

It does look to be a new carb, one of the gold-ish repops.
They sell them here on YT I believe.
I had one on one of my 8Ns for quite a while.
It actually ran very well! I can't attest to how well it will stand the
test of time, nor how well it will stand up to the eventual rebuilds.

I wouldn't want to repair the damage done by that type of
filter being run for very long though. That won't be just the carb!

"looks like mine........need axle pin/bushing work."

Might I suggest you do it sooner rather than later?
It's not going to fall off, but the longer it wears the
more it costs to replace all the worn parts.
Not to mention broken distributor caps and down time.
