Yesterday went and bought a "cheap" generack pressure washer for $330 to pressure wash the tractor. 10 minutes into the washing and something went clunk and the pump quit. Loaded the tractor and went to the car wash in town. Came back and finished scraping paint for 3 hrs last night. Finally called it quits after 1am. Lots of sanding and prepping the sheet metal and tractor today. Got the rims painted and the tractor primered. Tomorrow evening it will get painted. That's a dummy distributor used just for painting.

Looks good Lisa.
Is that one going to be for sale?
We had a couple of spectacular days here this weekend. High 60s/low 70s.
I painted a pair of fenders and the nose for one of my tractors on Saturday. Outside.
I had sand blasted and primed everything a while back and was just waiting for good weather to paint.

Thanks! Yes this one is going to be sold. Beautiful weather finally up here too. If it wasn't for the wind this weekend would have been better. I saw 75 on the thermometer Saturday. I'd like to get a sandblaster one day. Problem is theres no room to store it anywhere. He primed with the door open last night. Soon the bugs will be out and no more of that.

Nice work ! Did you get a replacement P.Washer ok ? Generac's generators don't have much of a reputation either...

No I made them refund my money which they didn't seem too thrilled to do. The asked if I wanted to swap it out I said no I won't buy that brand again. When we were looking at generators for the fish house we thought about trying a generack because they were half the price of a Honda. I'm sure glad we bought a Honda. Honda makes pressure washers but the cheapest on they had was $1100 and I didn't want to spend that much.

Thank you! Yes they work very well to hang them on and paint. I told my
husband he better take pics when heis done tonight so I don't have to wait to
see how it turns out.

I bought a 110 lb pressurized sand baster from Harbor Freight , they are about $130 now . I welded it to a big wheeled two wheel dolly and can tote it almost anywhere when it is full of sand . It sits outside with out a problem .

OSHA would probably like to have a talk with me , but I replaced the short discharge hose with 30' of 5/8 heater hose 10+ years ago and have not had any issues @ 85 - 125 working psi .

I would wear out a tip in just a bag or two of sand . I spent $80 and bought and industrial head with about a 3" long ceramic tip . Have run 50 or so bags of sand and the tip is still good and small . Once they erode to over 1/4" you lose your air pressure quickly . I use a cheap quick shut off valve that you turn 90 degrees and have replaced it maybe every 15 bags of sand .

Honda does not make pressure washers but there are several companies that make them with Honda engines. A couple years ago I bought one with a Honda engine from Home Depot for $300. It isn't very fancy but so far I haven't had any problems with it.

OK...that's what he meant when I was talking to him when he was buying it.
Thanks for the clarification. We don't have a home depot here but maybe when
we go down to Minneapolis Saturday I can look there.

Look there for a Ryobi 3100 psi pressure washer with a Honda motor, factory refurbished. I bought one last year and it's awesome. $280 or so? Same warrany as new and the idle down feature is hard to beat.
