I posted a while back about a head gasket issue which turned out to be a dropped sleeve, with smoke coming out of the oil fill. In the process of doing an engine over haul I broke off a head stud and cracked the edge of the block next to the exhaust manifold trying to remove the stud. I couldn't come up with a conveniently located used block so I cold welded it up with nickel rod and ground it smooth. I put it all back together and had a small drip in the weld. Well before rolling it into the pond I decided to put some stop leak in it and it worked like a charm. the drip stopped in less than a minute and everything is running just fine now, and has been running for several weeks. Thanks to all who helped me figure all of this out, me having not much mechanical knowledge prior to this.
