One of those cases where you can't fix stupid.

I looked to see if there was a higher point to tie his little ski rope. There wasn't. It's always nice to see an education come with a rollcage.

(quoted from post at 08:23:47 04/12/15) I looked to see if there was a higher point to tie his little ski rope. There wasn't. It's always nice to see an education come with a rollcage.

I think he tied it way up there so he could turn around and reach it in a hurry if he had to.

I keep thinking that there needs to be a list like Bruce's Tips of what NOT to do with a tractor . . . especially for tractor newbies like me.

I added another to my "don't try this at home" list yesterday.
with the Brush hog held up by the front with my crane, so it was resting on its tail wheel while we put some blocks to put under the hog, I got off the tractor thinking that because the tractor was connected by chain to the Hog it wouldn't go anywhere.
NOT!

The Jube started creeping forward because the suspended weight in the rear was actually pushing the tractor forward. Surprised the heck out of me. I jumped back on, shut it off, put it in gear and put the right emergency on.

I had been parking my heavy rear blade deliberately at the edge of a bank which was right in front of the tractor and the tractor gently pushed it onto its back.

2. Another scenario worthy of a "don't try this on a tractor" was when I was climbing up onto my bridge with a max'd out carryall weight and I got front end lift off.
I quickly put the clutch in BUT I hit the right brake only (my best one) while drifting backward and of course the tractor front twisted sideways. I just got off the brake real fast and let it have its way rolling back to get out of the fix.

(quoted from post at 11:31:26 04/12/15) Nah, he did it because he is not only stupid, he's too lazy to bend over.

Yeah, could be. Some people just gotta' learn the hard way.

Doesn't look like he was wearing the belt and harness either.

This is a case of when the lord was passing out the brains this guy thought he said trains so he hopped a ride.
