Ok, now I'm curious. What exactly does it do?
It's for locking down your lift control handle when using stays like with a hitch or swinging drawbar.
Keeps you from sending needless pressure to your pump.

Thanks guys, couldn't really tell what the little lock thing was from the picture of it.

(quoted from post at 00:35:25 04/09/15) And bending the stay bars, making them totally useless.

Don't ask me how I know this is true.
That pressure relief valve is a whole lot stronger than them stays, eh? :)

Hard to believe how strong the hydraulics are. I made a fixed length top link out if 3/4 rod for my home made receiver hitch. I didn't allow enough opening at the receiver for it to pivot when raised all the way up. The rod bent like it was made out of lead.

Del,

What kind of bolt is that wing nut on?
I see by your photo how to put mine on . . . I was wondering.

Any kind in your coffee can that will fit..

:)

Dang'd if I don't have that very coffee can with bolts and pins where the heads were drilled to accept wire. I'll wire one to the empty hole on my L clip.

I just clamp a small pair of vise grips above my control lever. Keep a pair in the tool box all the time.
