Tim PloughNman Daley RIP
Well-known Member
I have been trying to log-in since Saturday and finally we have the problem resolved. Anyway, your post on the closed tread design tires made me want to reply. That style was first used on the early 8Ns. It is the Firestone Champion Spade Grip design, now called Champion Guide Grip and sold as repops today by Firestone though made in Chena. I have a repop set on my restored early '48 8N and only take them out when I gussy her up for shows. I'd hang on to those and use them on an early 8N project. Or, if not interested in that, I know someone who may be interested in buying them...
