8N Fully Restored Inside and Out

Some have seen that the online Auction yesterday the Rare 8N Ford went for $5500. The 1st remark about the auction was somebody said I Paid To Much for some item. But who ever paid 55 for the N would not be a bad price here in parts of CA. That said if it was really a restore inside and out 55 would be a good price and not only in CA. As we can see the outside is not fully restored, The painted fan belt is red we all know it should be lime green, the inline filter is the wrong size for a 8N, that filter is for a JD 4090 made only in 1968. The gold plated carb is an aftermarket, Fords were silverplated that year. All kidding aside that it is a sin to say fully restored. If I were the guy that got stung I would impose on the seller the #1 rule of the old stock racers and pull the head for starters and unless I could see my face in them pistons I would somehow get relief from the seller. We all know by the outside they never R&R that motor. I know buyer beware but it was still a lie and thats wrong its stealing.

Sellers on eBay sell what they have. If they are selling used
as a consignment, they probably don't know a durn thing about
it except what the owner told them.

Whoever bought that tractor didn't know a durn thing about 8N's
either. He/she is soon to get a good lesson in history not to mention
buying anything from a seller who's name includes "government".

Their claim of appraisals is outright BS though.
