Hobo,In your experience, do all Ford 4.6s eventually develop coolant leaks between the heads and the manifold? Mine was leaking badly and I thought it was the coolant tube but it wasn't. The tube is rusty and I'm replacing it but the leak was a head/manifold leak. Lots of coolant in the #4 spark plug hole and plenty on the ground too.

Dunno about all its a common leak around the front coolant across over... (part the thermostat mounts too)...

There is a plastic gasket samwitched there that deteriorates...
A replacement manifold is the only way I know to repair it...

My arse draws up in a knot every time I install a thermo in'em because of that... Have I told Y'all how much I like Plastic engine parts... :D Plastic and luminum even better I get separate the luminum it goes into my retirement fund...
