2boys6girls.........umm? you do know YOU were the voltage regulator on the 2N's, don't you? There was a manual screw adjust on the BACK of the 1-wire genny. And you got off'n yer butt-buckett and adjusted the screw fer about 3-amps charge on the ammeter at 1/3 throttle. Generally only haffta change it when/if you had headlites ON-or-OFF. As fer the BLUE voltage regulator hangin' off'n yer battery tray; after the introduction of the 8N's, Ford sold a 3-wire 11-amp conversion kit fer 2N owners willing to pay the price. ........HTH, electrical Dell
