I saw one on CL in Wichita Kansas for around $500. I don't think it sold. It will depend on who is at the auction and how much they want to spend. I have seen things sell for .10 on the $ and I have seen things sell for 500 on the $ so it just depends on who is there and how much they want to spend their money...

I would stop bidding at $150, but I am cheap and could build it for around that...

Around here $500 or more. I sell them w/o the fenders and coulter for $450 easily. I would personally pay no more than 350

I have never even seen a set up like this.

All the Ford or Pittsburg cultivators I've seen have regular Pitsburg shanks etc and nothing like this one. Seen plenty of the fenders but not with those feet etc.
I was part of a Ford tractor dealership for about 6 years and we sold lots of cultivators but never anything like this.

Ah yes....know that part of PA, very well.......I attended Christopher Dock HS........I suspect it will fetch on the high side ....400 to 500

I have one similar to that I'm going to sell this spring. Bought a tractor recently that I couldn't really afford so have to sell off some superfluous stuff to pay for it.

went to Souderton myself. class 67.

I may have to go to auction to see what it brings. auction is at Perkiomenville.

Nice, all original DEARBORN 13-2 Spring Shank Cultivator -I used to have 5 of them but now just one, restored. The most I ever paid for one was $200. Nowadays sellers think these old implements are gold plated and are asking ridiculous prices for them. $500 -$800 for a two bottom plow, c'mon! That's why I got out of collecting. If you can get this for a decent price, get it. I would not bid over $300 though if'N it were myself. I do notice it has the angle iron brackets that supported the optional side dresser attachments which were two seed hoppers and had a rear drive wheel so you could drop seed or fertilizer at the same time. My Dearborn 13-2 Cultivator has the remnants of the brackets that someone had hacked off. Might want to see if the auctioneer has the seed hoppers somewhere else and let him know they belong to the implement. Then I might pay $450 for it. My opinion FWIW...

Hey Zane-
What don't you agree with? These photos all show original Dearborn 13-2 Spring Shank Cultivators. There was a 13-1 Rigid Shank and Field Cultivator too which had actual springs that were allowed to trip when an obstruction was hit.

<image src="http://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/photos/mvphoto18224.png"/>. We had a rigid shank once. Never did used it. Though one of the spring shanks we bought came with shoes like in the op. Bought it at an auction and found bundles of new points like its supposed to have in a scrap pile so switched them out.

I have two cultivators I'm going to sell. One like in the picture and a 7' Ford field cultivator that I restored about 10 years ago.
Alex at Tractorland owes me a favor so he said he would sell them for me.

Nice. I'll have to check out the 7 ft when I'm there. We're going down there in the next few weeks to pick up a tractor from him that I bought. Soon as the frost come out and it drys up around there.
