Leveling Box?

I noticed this afternoon that neither link arm on mine has a leveling Box inside of the knuckle...Would that (in theory) help control the level I keep the bushhog at or is it still a limiter chain deal?
 
The leveling box allows you to adjust the height of one of the lift arms in order to set a plow correctly. Because, after the first row is plowed, one side of the tractor is down in the previously plowed row/furrow and the other is up on untilled ground. You need to be able to adjust the plow so that it is sitting level in that circumstance and that's what the leveling box does.

It has nothing to do with preventing your brush mower from dropping down too low since your 9N doesn't have position control. That still needs to be down with limit chains or with Zane's ZaneThang position control for 9N/2N.

Kinda what I figured...Limiting chains is going to be the way I go. Much appreciated!

Did you see the How-To on the 'other forum' for how to make a set of limit chains???

The leveling box, does, however, make it easier to hook-up equipment. It's a inexpensive back saving device. Invest in one.

I use the leveling box all the time when I an using my back blade! If I am cleaning out a ditch, I can set one side lower.
