12 alternator conversion to 6v

I have a Delco SI 12v and installed a 6v regulator in it. Do I have to change the diode trio? I want to use one wire and keep pos ground. It is going on NAA Ford

here are some wiring changes at the VR and you must change out the main rectifiers. Not absolutely certain, but believe trio remains the same.

t is OK, but the BATT stud that he keeps calling "ground" is NOT ground, but rather the NEGATIVE voltage output terminal. Everything you see on the internet isn't so. :)
