(quoted from post at 20:37:33 03/17/15) Guys, I'm thinking the rubber grommets in my other Jubilees
replaced this metal one all together. I'll try to get a picture
of one of them tomorrow. No room inside this one as you say.
YT sells the rubber ones
You've got me thinking Royse . . . no small feat!
Whilst taking my hood off last summer, I noticed Ford Blue under the grey and so I started thinking, the sheet metal was so hooped on mine, that whoever restored it used later Ford sheet metal. But then again it was probably that "repaint your tractor blue" program.
Even my fenders have 10" of new metal welded onto them, cause the lower areas of them which must have rotted right off. That's how bad they wanted to keep the Script I guess. Maybe my tractor was used on salted roads or salt water shorelines. So goes the mystery history of my Jube.
But I digress . . .
My question is:
How long do these [b:854e55bda6]steel[/b:854e55bda6] grommets continue . . . is it past NAA?
Perhaps the steel grommets lasted only to the 600's and so your Jube with rubber had later year sheet metal dash.
