Alternative for a Dist cap terminal kit sold at YT

Trying to workup a cover for a my front mount distributor so that I can use a round 6 volt coil.

Yeah I know its been done and pertronix sells a plate. I am just trying to work something up on my own.

Any how I need a spark plug wire post like the one sold here at YT. Problem is the price +shipping doesn't justify the means. The coils cost me much less.

Anyone have an alternative source or idea?
Was thinking to find another old round coil and cut the top off.

ut a post out of old distributor cap, take the porcelain out of a spark plug. Bob has posted pictures of his very nice creation several times. Maybe he will show again.

Last one I did I used a hole saw and cut a tower out of an old regular distributor cap. Then I drilled a small hole right through the center of it and ran a small bolt through a flat cover for the distributor. This small bolt can also hold a tab on the underside for contact to the distributor.

Hope Bob will post. Never saw his creation when searching for ideas on the forum.

I am using a poly cutting board cut down and with a router able to mimic the bottom end of a 6 volt front mount coil.

As has been said, old dizzy cap terminal, gutted square coil, or
just come up with your own insulated tower and add it to a can
and hookup conductor path. Spark plug tips unscrew.
