Problem with timing

Just got done rebuilding 48 with front mount, rebuilding meaning new pistons ,sleeves, and bearings. Tractor ran good with plenty of power before and now idles fine but does not have a lot of power when under load like going up hill in 4th gear will stall out.
Tractor also pops through carb sometimes when trying to start it
Was wondering if this was a timing issue or carb

Is point gap correct (.015")?

Did you set the distributor timing according to instructions "on the bench" before installing the distributor?

Did you disassemble the distributor and inspect the centrifugal advance for wear, damage, and free operation?

Any changes to the carb or distributor during your rebuild?
Could just need the points cleaned/gapped and the timing set correctly.
That's what I would look at first if nothing else was changed.

Shawn.......Geiger gott itt rite. Very eazy to miss-wire the weird 4-nipple front mount dizzy. Keep yer itchy-twitchy fingers off'n them handy-dandy carb tweek-ums. ........respectfully, Dell

Firing order is right will take distributor back off this weekend
And check everything again. Just wanted to know if I was on
the right track with the problem coming from timing. Thanks
A lot.
