9N piece of gold?

They come a lot cheaper than that.

But the one you have pictured look to be 2N since it has the tube type radius rods

Cleaned up,painted, dents straightened,it might bring $1800-2000 on a good day. That's assuming it runs well.

I still can't believe that even with the incredible utility that these durable tractors possess, they sell for what seems like so little.

No wonder I paid so much for mine :D

Keep in mind that yours is 3 models above the posted 9N Terry.
Lots of improvements between your tractor and the one in this ad!
Many more improvements in the even newer models.
They are all versatile, usable machines even today.
I'll probably have a 9N for my grandkids to dispose of if they
can't remember how to clean the points to get it to run! LOL

Hi Royse,

You Wrote,

:D
No, I'm not looking back and am stoked about all the advancements
and am satisfied for now . . .
and now could be a long, long time.

Do all the fords past 53 have openly accessible hydraulic pumps? I like that about mine.

I was kidding about spending so much, meaning that I liked and respected the thing so much when I saw it, and have wanted one since the 70's,I wouldn't be driving too hard a bargain. I wanted it bad. :D Like I said, they all seem grossly underpriced like the beauties I see being sold at give-away prices at the YouTube auctions! The prices seem only relative to the limited interested buying public rather than actual value based on condition and utility.
But I did get $1000 off his asking price and 6 attachments if you count the belt pully as an attachment and a ton of extras, not to mention the rare live PTO attachment.

All of that was 3,5oo but he delivered it all to me. a 40 mile return trip including a 40 minute ferry each way.
We split the ferry cost $50. each.

I know you've heard me wondering out loud if I may have paid too much, but I don't really think so any more, For me, first on the list was the engine -- cause I couldn't care less if I never rebuilt another --and if it continues to be as good as it seems, oil never below 40, time is telling a happy tale. :)

P.S.
And most importantly as someone advised me, "don't even THINK about an N, you're too tall and your feet are too big". :p
An N would be like all my '47 to '53 chev trucks, they were always too small for me but I loved 'em.

(((singing)))
Don't you know that she's just . . . my . . . size
Everything about her drives . . . me . . . wild . . . .

I was showing it to my new neighbors who bought the house down at the hairpin turn, and I thought that the woman nailed it about our Fords. She said, "It looks very stylish."

As long as it does what you need and you're happy with it that's
all that counts! I really like my Jubilee too.

"Do all the fords past 53 have openly accessible hydraulic pumps?"

I'd like to say yes, but I think there were models that did not.
The standard x00, x01 and prior x000 pumps were similar to
the NAA's. So is the one on my 335, but I can't say for sure
on all of them. I'm sure someone will know.

Ya know what you mean. I know a guy who has a 9N for sale and at first he called it a 1953 9N but I informed him that 9Ns where only made from 1939 to 1942 so he did change his ad. To many people do not do there home work when it comes to tractor and as you know it is pretty easy to figure out what one is

Old,
. . . and Old tanker if he's listening.

I mentioned how after reading all the books that the PO threw in with my tractor, that Rick's tutorial and Myrle's History were very well written by comparison.

I did a little proofread and editing for them and you would expect the published Ford books to have been proof read and polished to the max. . . apparently not.
For example, here on page 76 in this Robert Pripps hard cover,
below the photo of a '54 it reads:

"Leroy "Bud" Peterson aboard his 1954 NAA Jubilee in Northfield, Minnesota."

[b:b3fd57c01d]Here's another funny typo on page 33.[/b:b3fd57c01d]
"The three-point hitch allowed 18 different implements to be either attached or removed in about a minute."

Man that's FAST!
It takes me three minutes to connect just ONE. :D

I know, I'm kind of splitting hairs here for fun.

But this would be better:
The three-point hitch allowed ANY ONE OF 18 different implements to be either attached or removed in about a minute.

I like it when guys threaten you about raising the price "if I clean it the price will go up another $200.00"

poor guy is slightly out of touch it seems

"poor guy is slightly out of touch it seems"

Slightly? You're too nice. But I agree with you.
If you wanted top dollar, present it in top dollar shape.
