Here is the pic. of the carb that the owner didn't want back.
SO....now it is going into the tank, for about a week, just to see if I can make it useful, as a back-up for Hermie!! I need a good used carb, to replace one that I prev. sold.

Lots of rust in this one, and has rusted off half-shell screws.
Just gonna waste my time.....MAYBE!!?????
OR...it just might buff right out!!!

I have run into a few carbs about as bad as that one. Had one off a tractor that had burned and it is real bad and I have yet to be able to get he screws out to see how bad it is inside

asty, nasty!

Ouch! That doesn't look like fun to me! Hopefully the choke
and throttle rods broke clean instead of twisting.
Those bolts will be tough unless you heat them I think.
Although a good soak might do them some good.
Have you got pictures of the very worst one you've ever done?
I do not. I wasn't taking pictures and keeping records then.

Yep....here is the one that gave me the most trouble, but was able to fix, and get it up and running!!
This is one of the four that I did for Carmine D.!
As far as I know it was running great,...as he said it was!!!!

Almost as rusty as the one in this post, but nothing major, other than the fact that it took 4 days in the soaker, and lot of scrapeing, blasting, and painting!!! 8)

I brought a 2N that had been dissembled and set out side for 15 years. The carb was in a coffee can full of water... It took me years of soaking with PB blaster to get the throttle and choke shafts out... About the time I got it close to were I could build it I put it back in a can and on the shelf...

May the rusty carb gods be good to ya...
