Pulling Rebar with a Loader

Bought a green house from my Neighbor the Preacher, 94' X 20'. Actually belonged to his Church. They planned to feed the hungry. Put it in his yard. Every one was to pitch in with the work. I'm sure he had some good help for starters. But he said lots more showed up for the Harvest then the rest of the work. Hearts were in the right place. But he was left with too much of the work to do on his own.
So they gave up the idea and now it's mine.
Took most of it down the first day. Came back the next for the rebar and boards along the ground. I had already removed most of the ends before I took a picture of it while still standing. Came with a really nice exhaust fan.
The 8N played it's part in the end pull the 5' #6 rebar out of the ground. Each were drove in about three foot. Looking in my scrap pile I found and old metal gusset left over from a metal building I had built long ago. Didn't even have to drill a hole or anything. It worked as it was. If you look, you see I had in the pass cut off some of the metal for use on another project. Didn't take my phone with me while doing the job. So the pictures were taken once I got back home. (Simulated) Some of them took some hard pulling. Others can right on out. Wife came down to help with the rebar. She would place the metal over the rebar then remove it. That was a big help. Other wise it would had been a lots of climbing off the Jungle Jim set up. I'm well pleased at how well the loader helped out. While Ns might not make the best loader tractors, mine has saved me a lots of work. Probably could had done the same thing with the 3 pt. But I think the loader worked better than it would had.
O'Yea, the OT: 70 plus degrees today. The little scooter was waiting for me to finish the pictures. Second project for the day was to take Harley out for a work out :)

Yea, the helmet rack came second.
I've got a pretty good scrap pile.
My Father was a Pipe Line welder for Texas Gas.
I inherited his pile and have added to it every since.
When some one comes over and I hear them say, "WOW, you got a fortune in scrap metal" I check my cameras to make sure they are working. They tend to come back when no one is around. Learned that the hard way.

This time of year not good to try puling much out of the ground due to the fact the frost line is 12-18 inches down and so it is hard to do much

Slick hi tech puller! :)
Greenhouses will become more and more popular and even considered necessary, under Aluminum Oxide skies.

Used mine to remove fence posts from other side of relocated line.
SWMBO wrapped chain so I also didn't have to climb over jungle gym frame work.
Worked slicker than frog snot :)

Again it is location location location. With out all the info hard to say things and be 100% right

If you look, down threw the center are two 2 by 4s with a 2 by 4 nailed to the top. They were held in place by fence post sunk in the ground. I used a chain and my Handy Man to pull them the first day. It would had been easier with the loader. But it worked. Tried doing that with the rebar with a chain then with rope. Neither would grip it. So I had to think and look around for something that would work. Knew if I had a thick piece of metal with a hole in it it would work. Found what I needed and didn't even have to drill the hole. Same type of jig will work for fence post. But would need a bigger hole.

rt in chain wrapping. The hole U used or a rectangular hole (as sold at Tractor Supply, etc.) to pull t-post is faster & no need to know the art of chain wrapping.
