NAA Hard Left Turn Steering

Hello,

I just finished restoring a Golden Jubilee, and I noticed that turning the steering wheel to the left requires noticeably more effort than when turning right. I didn't do anything to the steering box during the restoration. Do you think it needs to be adjusted? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks for the reply. From reading some other posts about the upper thrust bearing, it seems that when it's shot, you get vertical play when the wheel is turned. Mine has no vertical play at all. Could it still be the bearing?

Well, it wasn't the bearing -- mine has the newer nylon bearing in it and it wasn't worn at all. Could this be causing the binding? Should I go back to the original metal thrust bearing???

Yes. Those nylon things should be outlawed.
