Laying Water Line to Garden (pic)

Here I am running a water line to garden. This is the last joint of 20 pieces (130 yards).

Once I got started laying the pipe it was an easy [b:748c9469b4]10 minute job[/b:748c9469b4], thanks to my 8N w/Sherman in 1st-Lo and sub soiler. The slower ground speed really helped me manage the pipe by myself.

The farmer that I worked for as a kid owned and operated a campground that eventually grew to be the largest in the state and probably multiple states. To lay water lines he would take a bottom off from his two bottom plow and his sons and I would push the one inch black poly in right behind the mold board. Quick and dirty. The current owner doesn't appreciate that it I was fast then, because he now has to repair the leaks every year caused by rocks pushed by frost.

Great job!!

Could you show some close up pics of that subsoiler out of the ground?? I need to do the same thing...

Thanks,
Mike

Sure mbramble, this is a picture of the plow being lowered into the “start” hole I dug with a sharpshooter shovel. I also dug an “end” hole.

Yes showcrop, this was the easiest water/electrical line I ever put under ground.

That is exactly how we buried telephone cable with a crawler. We used a cable plow that was similar, with the cable reel on the front of the crawler.
