Well....... you had posted 2N that had burnt and said it was a parts tractor and you were told it ran fine prior to the fire. I had my 8N in a fire the only thing that was not burnt was the rear tires. The paint was completely gone the front tires were mostly gone and all the rubber and plastic was gone. The dist cap melted onto the dist housing kinda looked like a pan full of black pie. I completely dismantled it, painted it, rewired it. I replaced all but the starter. I did this all on a gamble of what I had read and heard. If all the fluids were still in it after the fire it was repairable. I have moved a lot of snow with it this winter. Looking at your photo its not near as bad as mine was .I bet you engine is still fine.

WW...I am going to try and save the engine and front end but I think the entire back half of the tractor is toast. All the movable parts are no longer movable...fluids are still in engine and rad but it got out of tranny. Out of town for a couple of days when I get back I'll take a couple of pics ....Dan
