Someone locally has some big sockets for sale.

Is my Jube axle nut actually 1 15/16" even though a 6-point 2" would work?

Then again, maybe given the buildup of red paint, it is only 1 7/8"

Do you have a caliper?

I have seen 3 nuts used, one being a repair nut. This doesn't take into account owner 'inventions' used to keep the hub on, including non standard re threaded axles too.

Well, I used me calipers and they showed 1 15/16"
but then I started thinking about the multi layers of paint on the nuts.

I've got the repair nut.
Guess I'd better go chip off the paint.
