Pivot pin bushing removal

I removed my pivot pin with little trouble and have my axle disassembled. My pivot pin bushing is almost worn thru at the bottom. I have a new brass one ready to install, however, I can't get the old one out. Any 'help' suggestions would be appreciated. This is in a 51 8N.

Many times they are so worn you can bend them into
the center of the circle and simply pull or tap them out.

Big bolt that will drop through it but the head
catches the edges of the bushing--I used a big
socket head cap screw and it worked perfect..I do
recommend installing a grease fitting when you are
putting it back together..Hole is already there-just
needs threaded and fitting screwed in..

I did mine by welding a couple quick beads inside the old bushing.
The bushing will shrink when it cools down.
The beads need to be fast and not weld through the bushing.

hclarkIOWA,A BFH and a chisel works good to remove the worn bushing.A air hammer works even better.

I have been using a notso BFH and a chisel, but haven't made much progress. I'll get a bigger hammer or maybe use my wood splitting maul, if I can talk my wife into holding the chisel. :)
