Sherman rebuild kit?

Hi guys. Just scored a nice step up trans which shows little or no wear at the points we have all been warned about. But sice I have it out in my hand I waqnt to do seals and roller bearings etc. I see Red Rock Mfg. has a kit for a combination trans, but no listing for a step up. Will this kit work? Same bearings and seals? Alaso need the shims that go between the 9N trans and the sherman mounting plate. You guys NEVER fail me! Thanks in advance. Merry Christmas too ...... Darryl

INPUT SHAFT BRG NAPA 6208-NRJ ARE SKF SAME #
OUTPUT SHAFT CUP TIMKEN 28850
OUTPUT SHAFT CONE TIMKEN 28877
2) COUNTER SHAFT BRG TORRINGTON BH1616
1) MAIN SHAFT NEEDLE BRG TORRINGTON BH1412
SHIFTER SHAFT SEAL 6203
FRONT SEAL 8N7052A

You can make the other gaskets one may be the same gasket thats used on the front retainer I can not remember...

As far as the shims they are the same as the shims used to shim the main and counter on the trans... I see no reason why you could not use paper (same as the front retainer gasket)...

Last one I did I had $125.00 in parts. I did have to get a used counter shaft pin... It was also worn you can have the end machined and roll it over 180 deg...

Hobo, What would you charge to rebuild one of these? I am coming apart to rebuild the engine and there is a lot of play in my handle on the step up. I assume it is just that detent pin wearing out.

I am just wondering if you want the job and an approximate guesstiment for a rebuild. I could do it myself, but figure my hands will be full with the engine, clutch, painting and body work...
