Hi all-

Can someone enlighten me on what the torque specs are for the
rim bolts and the "disc" bolts on a 2n?

thanks,
pete

I can't say the exact specs but they none of them have to be super tight. Maybe 110-120 on the lug nuts.
Torque on the rim to center bolts will depend on whether you are using the original fine thread bolts or new grade 2 coarse thread carriage bolts.
If originals, 110-120 would again be plenty. If new coarse thread probably 90 is about all you want to torque them.
I've never torqued any of mine. Just "good and tight" is all I do.
One thing I always do is use anti seize on all of them.

Ford never gave any torque spects on anything like that, not even on head bolts, This is evident if you have an orignal Ford Repair manual that was delievered with the tractor. You just had a box end and open end wrench amd monkey wrench delievered with each tractor and that is all they expected you to ever use. Except a screw driver and pair of pliars that were also delievered with the tractor.

i agree. outside the engine or gear compartments, i've rarely used a torque wrench on a ford... calibrated grunsts seem to work ok.
