used ford manifolds

am looking for used manifold for a 52 8n problem is i may not be sure manifold is for 8n sometime seller isnt sure what model ford it came offf of
are manifolds interchangeable between 2n, 9n and 8n?

Aftermarket ones fit them all. Originals had some
differences, but I believe they would interchange.

I would not muck around with a used manifold -get a new one. See post above. It I snot worth the hassle to do a job then only find out a few days, or weeks later you have to do it all over again. There are several suppliers of new replacement manifolds, all are made off-shore or overseas. You usually get the three gaskets with the manifold, but you'll need to invest in a new muffler clamp (Large End goes down)which should come with new nuts and washers. Use 7/16-20 BRASS hex nuts with steel lockwashers on the manifold torqued at 27 ft/lbs. Sometimes when removing old nuts the stud comes out with it and you may get sprayed with coolant as the water jacket is just behind the stud holes. If it is evident the stud is coming off with the nut, stop and drain some coolant out of the radiator. Manifold part number is 9N-9425...
