To everyone who helped me with my starting problem - it is now running but I still am not sure why. I reinstalled the starter switch which after testing, everyone said was good. Decided to give it a try, so I climbed up and pushed the starter button just to see what happened and it turned over. Durn ner fell off seat from surprise. I wasn't expecting it to do that. Turned on key and it started. So now I know the battery was hot enough, starter switch was good and starter works. Any idea on what was wrong?

Thought that also. I had cleaned all the cables before I ever touched the switch and that didn't help. For some reason there was no current getting through the switch.

Did The starter switch itself have a good ground connection.

Not familiar with the 9n starter switch but if it is anything like the 8n starter switch it needs to have good metal contact with the shifter cover.
