OT google earth

I just downloaded google earth. It's a free
download. So I figured I'd check out my own address
first. So I punch in the address and zoomed in and
you can see I'm unloading a tractor from my trailer
in the driveway. I said to my wife look at this, now
what are the odds of that happening? She answered
well the odds are pretty good considering all the
tractors you have.

Its pretty neat. I look at it every year to check out our hunting cabin to see the deer trails through the swamp so I can see where they are heading a lot. I should check out the mil's place.

Your getting to see a fresh image every 12
months??? Got a pasture I have been cleaning up
the margins on for about 3 years, you can see the
brush piles I had stacked up to burn in late
November 2012, thats the last image available,
would like to see it as it is now or at least in
the last 10 months.

It really depends on your location.

I have a picture of one 8n on Google earth. Usually they don,t take photos of machines, but this got by them!

When you think about it, this is sorta scary and an invasion of privacy. The detail at which they show a persons property can be concerning if you are worried about uncle sam or other criminals looking at what you have.......

Welcome to the 21st century. Everything we do on computers and phones is tracked and recorded and everything we do is under surveillance.

that is an old pic on google earth of my mil's..Theres no tractors in the yard so must be close to atleast 3 yrs old. I must have looked at a different google map deal.

Reminds me of many years back. An old timer who was my parents neighbor and now has long since passed was into those RC Helicopters. He built some beautiful ones and hosted many shows at the air field.
One day behind the house he showed me how he attached one of those 8MM movie cameras to the bottom of the helicopter and hovered it as high as he could. Almost made me feel as if I took the pictures. That was the beginning of my Google Earth.

Yea, she knows about all of them. She walks the
property and takes a count every couple of months.
She counts my parts tractors as whole ones which I
told her is not fair. She's always after me to
clean up my act cuase she sez it looks like a
tractor graveyard. You've been to my place, I've
moved a lot of tractors around back since you were
here to make room for the snow and if not for some
trip on to death cultivators and implements the
place is starting to look pretty good.

They have better ones out there but they cost quite a bit.
My town uses one to monitor building sites and other things. I think the program updates at least every day and they can zoom in and read licence plates.
The program came from a company in Rochester NY

Kirk what you have is a tractor owners dream workshop.

Little does your wife know that she did you a big favor by getting on you. When the snow clears you will have all that room to get some new toys.

Who knows maybe i'll take one off your hands one day when I can figure on how to sneak it out back of my house site unseen.

Wonder how long before we are required to have a third license plate of the roof or a vehicle so the drones and satellites can read it more easily.

Ours was really old it has been a couple of years since I looked at it, but there was a school bus parked beside the machine shed. It's been years since I drove bus and I could narrow down the day just because of where it was parked. I guess nothing fun happens around here so they don't snap pictures.

They do check sometimes to see if the quail buffers around the fields have been burned. Last year they said it was the year they had to be burned. It was way too wet and the dry stuff was down. I tried in several spots in case they looked with their Google imaging.

That is funny. Fortunately, Google Earth can't see through evergreens. I have 5 under tarps hiding out back in the trees.
A funny story about my grand daughters. One afternoon after school they were out with friends riding their bikes in their sub. The 360 panorama camera vehicle passed them by and photographed them. The funny part was big mouths. They were not supposed to be out until their parents got home. My son pulled up "street view" and panned the area. GOTCHA! I don't know the timeline from photo to internet.

Pretty soon you will hear of some available anti-drone air defense systems.
It would be neat if there was a way to flood the area above your property to mask it out from aerial photos.
That is a pipe dream!

Transport truck Trailers have numbers all ready they started in the 70's to stop hijacking of trailers. Numbers on to were so police could spot and track the trailers from small planes or choppers

When I applied fer loan fer NEW ROOF, the credit union google'd my address and you could see 3 of 5 white sheepies in the green pasture. The new sheetmetal roof looks like thick cedar shingles, good fer 50-yrs. I'm 76 so its gonna be somebody else's problem.......Dell

Just looked. Pics were taken on at least 2 different days in 2013. One angle shows just my truck in driveway with freshly mowed yard, and another view shows just her truck in driveway ( with her sitting on stoop smoking LOL ) with lawn needing mowing
