So for the past few months, I knew my governor spring needed adjusted- no throttle in lower range. I tightened up the spring and got my throttle working nicely.
Fast forward to this weekend- I moved the tractor to hook up the snow plow, and to me, it seems like the tractor is low on power. or more-so, it sounds like its constantly under load?
Start the tractor up with the clutch depressed, I let the clutch out and the tone of the engine changes- quite noticeably. to me, it sounds like the governor is engaging as if the tractor was under load?
Does this make any sense? I didn't do anything to the tractor except 1- tighten spring on governor and 2- fiddled with carb slightly( less than 1/4 turn).
