OT Portable generator

Anybody tried one of these little ones? Been considering this one and a 1200 watt. No heavy use planned for one-just a cut here and there with a circular saw--I know either one will handle the average do-it-yourself/home use drill--too lazy to go look at my circular saw to see how many amps it pulls...any thoughts/experiences appreciated..Thanks

Tom,
That particular generator may/will not handle the surge of a circular saw. I have tried with a 1000 watt Yamaha inverter and it did not handle the surge. Been there and tried that:) Best to check amperage before purchase. HTH

Isn't this Special?? Rural King is certainly one to avoid..... All Generator Sales are Final. No returns. If you have a warranty issue it will be your responsibility to take to your local store for item to be fixed by one of our mechanics. If you purchase online and do not have a local store you can ship the item to us to be repaired at your expense both ways. Rural King assumes no liability of freight damage. If product is damaged in shipping the customer will be responsible for filing a freight claim with that carrier.

900 watts is only about 7,2 amps, which may not be enough to run much of a saw. You'd probably burn up the saw or the generator. lha

I have one and I like it alot. But my table saw uses 15 amps-My skill saw takes 15 amps. And it will not run these.I have a Makita sawsall and it uses 7 amps and that's very handy to have.I just load the 45 lbs genny and I can use it anywhere.

Thanks - I do want one that will un a skilsaw. So
guess I will have to look for a little larger one.

Thanks again to everyone for the info. You answered my questions. I will continue to look for one a little bigger but still inexpensive..
