Tractorguy2, it is not an N carb, that's why I posted "off topic".
It's a Zenith off a Farmall. Similar to a Case I would think.
I'll have to go out and look. I have a 1948 Case SC out here.
Good eyes! :)

WELL......not too fast there.
That is a Bendix/Zenith...mod C1 or C101, and depending on the flange, and throttle bore size, were/can be used as an 'N' series tractor carb.

ScoutB,..Scott has one on his 9N!!!
MANY other tractors use those also!!!!
Hard to find the kits with the right size jets!!! CAN BE DONE THO!!!!!

Gary  [/i:8172f116e6][/b:8172f116e6]

I have a 41 and a 48 SC also. The choke shaft in
your carb matches what's in my 41. My 48 is a
little different.

I would love to have a 52 or 53 SC.

With out seeing it better I would guess it is off a Farmall A or B. I have parts and pieces of a few of those carb as well as many others

Glad to see the carb master is still watching! :)
I didn't mean to say it couldn't be used, just that its not the
Marvel Schebler most of us are used to seeing as an N carb.

I was just about to order a kit for this one, so if you have a
suggestion on the best place to buy one I'm all ears.
Otherwise I will ream the jets to size. Done a lot of that lately.
Seems the kits aren't what they used to be. :(

Yep, it came off a C113 Old.

Figured that since I have been into many of those over the years. I have a tractor I built from 3 junk ones and I call it my BA since it is half B and half A. Front end is a B from the transmission forward and from the transmission back it is an A so that makes it a BA. Drove it into the shed this after noon

Ain't that the TRUTH!!!!!

I have never had the need to order a kit for those!!! If you have Scott's pho. #, or email addy, ya might try to get hold of him, for where he found the kit for his!!!???
I just talked him though the overhaul, and he did the rest. I think I emailed him the manny for the parts breakdown, AND you have it in the carb cleaning manny that I sent to you!!!!!

I'd like to have one of those carbs.....just to have a hard to find carb....NOSTALGIA.....it's a killer!!!

I am glad I have reached the point in life to send it down the road... Fix'N for the Glory don't pay the bills anymore and never has... I still get trapped but learning fast how to beat the trap....

Royse,
I got my overhaul kit from Steiner. It's not as complete as you'd like but it's a pretty good start. I still have the manual Gary sent me too. Let me know if you need it.

Royce,
Thought they all looked like that..........
(I really gotta raise my old tractor buying price some...LOL)
I know you know this already, but soak that one with some good penetrant for a while before disassembly. Maybe even wave a flame at it.
Snapping off a rusted in nozzle really ruins a day.

OLD, did you ever post a pic of your BA?
sounds like a fun project. I have a lot of Farmall stuff here.
Any 'tippy' problems with it?

Royse,
I got my kit from that place over by Flint. I typed out their name yesterday and my post was deleted. If you don't know who I'm talking about send me an email. The kit wasn't complete but it was enough to get me by.

Thanks Scott, pretty sure I know who you mean.
I was over that way today. Well, at least as far as Corunna.
I'm sure they wouldn't have been open anyway. ;)

Royse/Gary: Do you guys still rebuild carbs? If so, how much? I tried to contact Royse about the tire chains he had, but the internets were smarter than I...I was unable to figure it out.
