When you fill the air filter oil cup up to the line, is the inner cup supposed to be full of oil also?

Yes.

The inner cup has holes in it. As in the pic.

And don't forget the gasket in the bottom of the canister.

I know the inner cup has holes in it. When I fill the outer cup to the line, a little oil run through the holes into the inner cup.

So is that how it's supposed to be?

(quoted from post at 15:41:21 11/19/14) Caryc,Both inner and outer level with the holes when full.

That's what I needed, thank you.

I pulled the air cleaner out and cleaned it well and put new mesh in it. That trick about slipping the mesh over a caulking tube first worked like a charm. The tube was just big enough to fit over the tube in the air cleaner so the stuff just slid in there really nice.

Also changed the filter cup gasket.

I kind of had a hunch if you put it on a level surface and stood there pouring long enough that inner and outer would be up to the line.

Thanks Guys :)
