you had mentioned you got ignition parts for your tractor at advance auto parts. when you go to a modern auto store like advance do you order by tractor model or do you have a cross reference that you give them???

I give them the part # they usually can have it overnight...
 
don't know what brand Advance has,but O'reilly's has BWD[Standard] and the # for 9/2n is A41 for the points for the front mount models. I'm sure that they can look up the # for side mounts as well. lha
 
The last time I was at the NAPA store to get tractor points. They wanted the tractor's VIN number.

I told the kid behind the counter tractors don't have a VIN number. he said well, I can't help you then.

I went to the orscheln's store and bought a tune up kit. I think it cost me $20. it's still working.

I thought you were asking about EI,,, AAP is were I get'em I get the rest from TISCO are Sparex... I rarely buy anything from NAPA any more since Echlin sold there sole to Standard Ign....

I sitll buy Standard ing products but not in a overpriced Echlin box.... Its the principal of it...
