No accumulation (other than a light dusting that's since blown away), but we did get our first snow flurries of the season here in Central IL…

The backblade is on the 8N and my hydraulic sump heater is plugged in: BRING IT ON, winter!

That's a X-mas card picture.

But on a lighter note. You can keep the snows in the Mid West.
Signing off from the North East.

Dusting here in Central Michigan.
No accumulation to speak of.
I would be happy if it stayed that way.
I'll let Gary and Colin keep it all!

I do have the winter clothes on the 2N.
Still have to get them back on the Jubilee.

They are calling for 1-3 inches Saturday into Sunday in this area of Missouri. Lake of the Ozarks

Maybe we can have a snowball fight. Thinking it could be a good way n ending the USPS feud found on some of the other threads.

No rocks in the snowballs!!!

My driveway had a 15"snowfall and 2ft drifts Tuesday morning.
Didn't know how my unrestored '45 2n would do, but she
handled it very well. Had to choose a downhill approach and
push most of it with the back blade, but we got it moved. A 12 to
15" snowfall is a lot here, but not unusual. I guess you could say
it was a Baptism by Snow.

BTW, is it possible to buy feet, or guides for the bottom of a
blade to keep it from digging in too much?

pete

Not sure you can buy them, but quite a few guys put a split
pipe over the cutting edge or attach one to the back.
Should be lots of pictures in the archives.

I actually saw a few different ones at the TSC. They are replacements for truck plows that probably break off and get lost.
You may have to weld up a bracket to hold them up.

I bought some "feet", aka, skids, aka, shoes, from TSC, welded two hollow 4 inch steel tubes to the back of the blade using 1/4 x 1.5 inch steel straps for stand-offs. I set the depth with washers.

Ed, We got about 13"-14" on Monday. It's currently -2*. Gonna be a long stinkin' winter. Although our storm was pretty localized in it's snowfall intensity (seems like a band of about 40-60 miles wide), we haven't had this much snow this early since the Halloween blizzard of '91.

Fun.

We had flurries all day yesterday, and they're calling for an inch or so Saturday (I'll be out running pasture fence all day, too!).

At least my shed is not going to be a wind tunnel this winter:
