Thanks for the mag side mount post and photo I knew somewhere I had seen one. ? would the statement "Only 2Ns came equipped with mags from the factory during war time? That is what my understanding was, part 41 42 to part of 43. Was front mount and or your side mount mag ever a option of sorts?

in answer to your questions, I don't have a clue. The side mt one is theonly one I have seen and have not even seen any other picutes of one. I think the war time production of 2n was pretty small with mags and steel wheels.

Maybe some with more knowledge will chime in!

I have one of the war times 2N and when I
bought it in 77 all the tires said U.S. Farm
Tractor Only they were shot and weather checked
with cord exposed badly. So by the serial # on
her I think they had a few made with rubber tires
no electrical parts and only # 30 pilot holes
in the dog legs for lights . Serial # and mag
puts it in the time frame and it crank starts.
I think there were some things on these Ns that
dont line up to the cookie cutter assembly line
N. Some stuff is lost to history I guess. Your
side mount could be a Ford thing or somebody
doin there own ideas.
