Boy you dont like Ford products!!! What dose a fellow use a 4X4 in in FL for? I would think you would never need hay with all the grass. I did read that FL. was 13th in the US in production of cattle. Where I live we have lots of dairies and more feed lots. So do they have feed lots in FL?

4x4 is good for dirt roads too!

as for fords. it's all i got now.

wife drives an E-350, I have a F 250, 350 and 450. MOST of the tractors are fords, though i do have a couple red and a couple orange and a green one.

yup. dirt roads turn to mud roads when it rains.

any place that is rural for cows ( but not horses ).. usually has some dirt roads. :)

if you are lucky, the dirt road has some red clay or limerock in it.. those actually firm up when dry... if you are unlucky, it has white clay and lots of sugar sand.. and they wallow out bad when wet, and never setup.. but always stay 3" deep and fluffy and make your tires walk all over. especially bad on corners pulling a 30' trailer and 6-7 tons of hay or equipment.. you stop moving and sink!

Well, I have been in mud with 4X4s from the Dakotas south to NE and KA and there are 2 ways I have found that help. Chain up just the front in 4 W/D., or just the rear and stay out of 4 W/D. Or to keep the adrenalin going and see how fast ya can spin the steering wheel left right and center forget my hints, LOL. Chains help but not a magic bullet.

I think there's nothing wrong with small. Most folks in ag would find my farm hardly a farm at all it's so small. But it puts food on our family's table and provides a small but modest income for us.

The wife's e350 van and my f350 dually are in the driveway, my f450 is still attached to the hay trailer parked alongside the equipment barn back south of me in that picture. :)

You need one of these to round out that Ford collection!

You can take this to town too!

And it's a chick magnet. If you like chicks over 60. ;)

At that age they are almost always plump hens. Not that I have anything against a nice hen ;-)
