They state it has a high low sherman. Heck I've seen shermans alone go for that price.
Fenders look good but something dont seem right with the hood. Seems like the gas tank access door on the hood over extends and doesn't close. Maybe the hood met the front side of a tree. Maybe its just the picture and they like driving with the door open.

Converted to 12v and they say it runs just needs a battery.
Definitely a great price, as far as price goes around here in NY they would be asking no less than $1800

I think I would pass. Can't get a good read on the rear tires,
but in that 5th photo (where it shows the awesome gas line)
the one on the opposite side looks pretty worn
Radius rods are bent, so front axle probably worn out.
Calling that paint "sloppy" is an understatement at best.
Sherman looks to be a step-up only. No attachments either?
No battery or he doesn't want you to hear it run?

Pretty certain my 5 yr old daughter could do a better paint job. I'd rather see one unpainted than crap like that.

Missed that. TX

I honestly couldn't see the Sherman shifter even after blowing pict up some. Now that you mention the step up, I see it. I was going on what the listing said.

George I was just going on a Sherman combo.

"Missed that."

I glanced right over it too until you mentioned the hood.
That still shouldn't keep the gas/battery door from closing.
I've swapped a few around out here. Grills can be another
story. Might be why that one is missing even. :)

ugly......
but like greywolf said, in NY, at that price, I would give it a look (and I don't even like 9N-2N's)
Gotta hear it run though. Broken engine and I'd pass.
If it runs, I'd offer him 800, up to 9, take it home,
pull the Sherman, swap out those wide front tires, and the rear fenders with some rougher ones I have laying around, fix the paint mess a little. Fix, adjust, tune, with existing stuff only. No new parts.
Then sell it for 1500 (NY price)
buy, swap stuff, sell, would probably take less than a week here
and my spare parts pile and wallet would be happy.

id look at it only if the owner is willing to let you fire it up, his battery or yours I learned the hard way and I don't buy any tractor I haven't heard run, unless its understood the tractor is a non runner, I cant get why people offer any machinery for sale as a running unit, then have it so it cant be started, something is up with that, a tractor sold as running, should be, it has to be checked out, its obviously in need of some cosmetic clean up and more depending on weather your looking for a using tractor or a parade piece, but if he's unwilling to let you start it and evaluate it, offer 400 as a non runner

To add its my money, so.... whether it is "sold as is" or not, I let the seller know what I intend to do before I get there. I want to drive it not only hear it run. I want to go through the gears, see the hydraulics work, pull a plug or two and plug a VOM into different places to check electrical.

Then I make an offer based on what I think its worth.

Why wast your time painting something if it is going to look this bad? Makes me want to walk away. I'd rather see rust.
