Shut off switch

Tractor halves back together after ring gear install. ThanksNow I need to re wire . 12 volt system. Should I buy a harness or just do it piece by piece? 12 gauge wire? There is a shutoff switch that has been added . Can I take it off or is there some reason it's best to keep ? If I remove it where do the wires go?
I can't seem to load a photo
Thanks

Just buy the harness. Get it here or from nnalert's.

Google "wiring diagram JMOR" and find the diagram that fits your tractor.

I have no idea what you mean by "cut off" switch. Something under the seat?

The tractor came w/ an ignition switch on the dash & a big thumb switch on top of the tranny to power the starter. You need both of those.

if you are unsure of wireing.. just get a harness like Bruce said.

I kmake all mine out of 14awg for 12v systems. for 6v i'd use 14awg except for charge line then i'd go 8, etc.

no reason to have that kill switch unless you just want an extra switch in line.

Assume it has a GM 10si alt..

A harness is offered for a single wire alt.

I am not sure one is offered for a 3 wire alt but no problem get a 6V harness for a 3 wire generator set up to match the model of yer tractor it will also work for the single wire alt... A 6V harness is EZ to convert to a alt set up.... I like color matching and wire size matching I don't like a clobbered up fitzall mess...
