3 point hitch

MJ IN CT

I have a 1950 8N and am trying yo put together the 3 pt hitch. When using the draw bar what hole on the rocker does the stay bars go in ? Also when using an implement what hole does the top link go in and do you use the stay bars when using an implement ?

One of the biggest improvements the 8Ns had over the 9N and 2N was the 8Ns had a real drawbar.
It mounts under the rear axle and is superior (safer, stronger, easier to use) to any kind of a drawbar that uses the 3 point.
They are available from this site.
I suggest you use that style.

"when using an implement what hole does the top link go in"

Usually the lowest hole.

"and do you use the stay bars when using an implement ? "

To me, stay bars are the bars that go from the lower lift arms up to the top link. They keep the lift from rising. Sway bars go from the lower lift arms to brackets under the axle. They allow the lift to rise but prevent side to side sway of the implement.
