I have a n model ford but not sure what one the ford logo on the grille has in small letters 2n the number on the block reads 9n I or 179442. what do I have? would like to know. want to get it running again been sitting a long time.

All 9n and 2n tractor serial numbers start with
9n.

Recently I bartered for my first ford tractor, a 2N. I knew nothing, these people are an incredible source of hands on real knowledge that you can't read in a book. I'm sure some of the advice and opinions need to be taken lightly, but any advice is valuable at some level.
