Saw this on I-94 north service drive east of Belleville, Mich. I have no interest other than to share.

LOL
You could probably get away with it too.
They don't expect a woman to come along and buy their tractor.

Haha maybe...I had a guy call me the other day about one I have for sale and he seemed kinda dumbfounded he was talking to a lady.

I would love to have one of those, even an 8N version.
But realistically, you could probably buy the JD next to it for less.
Fords are just way too cool! LOL

I know the score on do not go to the house.

I have a friend who lives on a busy highway and has an excellent open space to place items for sale, with a gravel driveway for a visitor to pull off the road.

He will allow me to set my stuff out there for sale, but is insistent I place the (owner does not live at the house on my for sale sign).

Even with the sign people still go to the house, he tells them "he has no dog in the race on whatever is for sale"

He is a nice old man, if it were me, guess I am not a nice old man, I would not let guys like me place their junk out there for sale.

Not an 800 -road maintainers were used on 8Ns. Plus, 800 was not around yet in 1950. They came out in 1955...just saying...

The road maintainer was first used on 8n's, but most were mounted on x00 series. The one pictured is mounted on a x00 series, they have the year wrong on the sign.

nice machine

funny on the sign.
I've tried that many times myself...never works :D

right on the for sale sign,
"owner doesn't live here...call the number"
another sign on my driveway gate,
"if you are here for something for sale, call the number, please no trespassing"

yup, look up from working and somebody will be standing right in my shop.
Which kind of defeats the goal of not letting random strangers
see all the tools and equipment in the non-descript building.

I thought of commenting on that, but, we all know that the seller often doesn't know either the year or model, and we know that someone could easily remove a maintainer from a dead N and put it on an 800. You can't see enough sheet metal. The fenders could be either but fenders could be swapped too. So, I thought I would leave it for you Tim, LOL.
