Not the prettiest tractor to look at, especially at first glance.
It wouldn't start for the owner and he needed it out of his way
to make room for some really sweet Chevies. '57 Bel-Airs.
Ignition switch was bad. It actually runs quite well. The tin's in
pretty good shape. Has a decent set of multi-ribs on the front
and a nice matched pair of 11.2 x 28's on fairly new 6 loop rims
with Fergy centers. 3 PT and PTO seem to work fine.
Both rear rims/centers are covered in grease from the leaky axle
seals. One radius rod bent, front axle pin bad, PTO shaft leaks a bit.
I haven't had time to look for the brand names or take pictures
of the implements, but it came with a reversible scoop, 5 ft rotary
mower, 6 ft back blade, an extremely heavy spring tooth
cultivator/harrow and a 3 foot section of spring tooth harrow.
(what we around here call a drag, not 3 pt) I'll try to get some
pictures of those tomorrow if the rain allows.
It was an hour away, but he gave me a good deal at $1000.
He threw in the stabilizer bars, 3 top links, a couple of gallons
of 134 UTF and a coffee can full of draw pins/hitch pins.
Just couldn't pass it up. Guess I needed another project.
